Techlite is looking for a full-time, on-site, CNC Operator/Machinist (Foam) to join our team today. The CNC Operator's responsibilities will range from operating automated machinery, working with equipment for part grinding and shaping of foam material, measuring, cutting, gluing and assembly of parts, and packaging for shipping. This role prefers experience with CNC 2 axis and G-code and uses their authority to stop a non-conforming part or product by notifying their Supervisor or Quality Inspector as soon as possible. This position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.
Priority Qualifications
- Industrial manufacturing experience, with CNC equipment, cutting machines, and a basic understanding of G-code. Experience in Foam Material.
- Ability to produce quality products in a high volume, fast-paced open shop environment.
- Ability to adapt to changing work tasks and practice safe work habits
- Willingness to learn and become a valuable team member.
Job Requirements & Responsibilities:
- Start up, and operate CNC Foam Cutting Machine, monitor and stop.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Read and interpret English job specifications, drawings, and work instructions.
- Meet applicable performance standards including, efficiency and quality.
- Basic math skills, measurements, and frequent use of measuring tools for production.
- Document actions by scanning in and out of production job traveler and quality control documents.
- Follow instructions from the supervisor and manager.
- Able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Report visual and audible equipment faults to supervisors.
- Must be able to lift Foam Blocks up-to 40 LBS repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Required PPE, safety glasses, and closed-toe shoes in specified areas.
- ISO, LEAN, or other quality system experience is a plus.

Schedule/Compensation:
- Full Time
- Monday Thursday 5:00 am 3:30 pm (10-hour shifts)
- Generally off on Friday, Saturday and Sunday
- $19.00 / HR
The CNC Operator (Foam) must demonstrate a cognitive ability to, follow directions and routines, and work independently with appropriate judgment. Exhibit spatial awareness, read words and numbers, concentrate, memorize, and recall, identify logical connections, and determine a sequence of response and process up to 2-3 steps ahead. Ability to attend work on a regular, predictable and consistent basis and to commute to and from work safely and arrive at work on time.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to airborne particulates, moving mechanical parts and vibrations. The noise level can be loud at times. Physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, and reach with hands and arms. This position involves a variety of repetitive processes such as insertion of materials, alignment by hand and rotating fixtures by hand. The position also involves sitting, talking and, hearing throughout the day. The employee must also be able to safely lift up to 49 pounds or less repeatedly during the 10-hour shift.
