Onboard Systems Hoist & Winch, located in Anaheim, CA is one of the world's leading providers of Search & Rescue (SAR) and Human External Cargo (HEC) advanced mission equipment for civil, commercial, and military helicopters.
Position Overview
Location: Anaheim, CA (Onsite)
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer supports development, assembly, and testing of Hoist & Winch products. This position will primarily be responsible for establishing a new assembly and test line for the Pegasus® Next Generation Hoist. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will also support legacy product line operations and improvements.
What You'll Do
- Take responsibility for building a new production line from the ground up
- Translate engineering design requirements into manufacturing processes
- Create assembly planning, work instructions and assembly aids
- Design fixtures and tooling
- Implement manufacturing process control and performance monitoring
- Improve cycle times and lead times
- Disposition non-conforming material with root cause and corrective action analysis as required
- Perform operator training, as required
- Engage with factory area leads to address systemic issues and provide root cause/corrective action/preventive action to reduce scrap and rework
Who You Are
- Bachelor's degree and 7 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years' experience OR In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required
- Experience with the manufacturing engineering aspects of New Product Introduction for regulated products
- Experience with interpretation of technical documentation (e.g. Engineering drawings and specifications)
- Experience with the creation of work instructions in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with a shop floor management system (e.g. SAP, IFS, ERP, MRP, or similar manufacturing software)
