Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures, and distributes integrated circuits, modules, and sub-systems for high-performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications.  With design, sales, and manufacturing locations in over 30 countries, Mini-Circuits’ products are used in a range of wired and wireless communications applications. Our products are also used in detection, measurement, and imaging applications, including military communication, guidance and electronic countermeasure systems, commercial, scientific, military land, sea, and aircraft; automotive systems, medical systems, and industrial test equipment.

Mini-Circuits sells our products to over 20,000 customers globally through our direct sales force, applications engineering staff, sales representatives, as well as through our extensive website.

Position Summary:

The Production Test Supervisor is responsible for the daily supervision of the Production Test Department Members, reviewing and prioritizing the production testing schedule to ensure our product testing is completed on time and the daily work activities are performed efficiently with speed and in accordance with all company procedures.

Salary Range: $59,800 - 89,800 per year

Job Function:

  • Promote ISO 9001, AS 9001 and ISO 14001 awareness to department Team Members
  • Move in productions runs that are received from other departments promptly
  • Check the department workstations AS/400 priority listing and distribute the workload accordingly
  • Coordinate with Production or Manufacturing Control department Members to efficiently plan for daily and upcoming workload from various departments, including test activities and special projects, and identify issues, concerns and solutions
  • Ensure that test accessories and tools are readily available, and stations are equipped with calibrated and functional equipment
  • Verify and strictly enforce all ESD workstations requirements
  • Assist Members in resolving test setup problems when encountered and/or provide known solutions to test-related problems
  • Track and follow up on production runs that are on “Hold Status” due to performance problems
  • Verify that every production run tested meets the latest model revision electrical specification
  • Evaluate the department resource requirements to achieve maximum output
  • Review Member’s feedback and suggest improvements for the test department when applicable
  • Training and development of new and existing members, including cross-training where applicable
  • Training and development of new and existing Members
  • Verify the effectiveness of Member training to enhance their skills where areas of opportunities exist
  • Complete Member yearly performance reviews promptly when required by management
  • Periodic review of department documented and Company procedures (CP’s)
  • When changes are identified, make the markup, and prepared the revised documents for ECO


Requirements

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Daily supervision of Member activities to include managing work schedule
  • Approve Member timecard issues/punches via Paycom
  • Move out the approved tested production runs via AS/400
  • Upload test result of all approved production runs to the Network Universal Viewer
  • Review and approve ECO that were issued by test department.
  • Departmental approval of test procedure and work instruction
  • Review and approve overtime as required to complete urgent production runs
  • Accept and release tested production runs, “Move Out” to the next manufacturing operation

Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering + 3 years of experience in a related field OR Bachelor’s Degree in in Electrical Engineering + 5 years of experience in a related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and / or use of the department database programs
  • Familiarity with Arena and/or other PLM System.
  • Ability to read, writes, and orally communicate in English and have the ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions
  • Must have basic operational knowledge on how to use RF test equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with other department Team Leaders to resolve Test related issues
  • Ability to train entry-level Test Members on departmental activities

Strongly Preferred:

  • Ability to perform tuning, adjusting unit’s transformer wires per documented procedures
  • Ability to move Test equipment occasionally (when required) for setup preparation or during Test equipment calibration cycle
  • Ability to distinguish colors in accordance with ISHIRA test for color blindness
  • Ability to perform testing at other company facilities other than Neptune Avenue
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish with Test Members
