Job Summary The Plant Operator works in a safe and efficient manner to maximize overall plant operations and production output. This role supports daily plant activities, promotes safety, ensures quality standards, and assists with system operations to maintain smooth workflow across departments.
Key Responsibilities Safety
Actively participates in safety committee initiatives and promotes safety practices daily. Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work environment throughout the plant. Production
Assists plant employees in completing assignments according to established procedures. Monitors system operations to optimize performance and productivity. Supports cleanliness, safety, quality control, and production efficiency efforts. Coordinates with shift supervisors and team members to ensure operational consistency. Assists with shipping and receiving operations as needed. Provides backup support when the shift supervisor is unavailable. Quality
Ensures quality assurance procedures are followed and communicated across departments. Supports continuous improvement by assisting in the design and implementation of new processes. Personal Growth & Teamwork
Participates in plant meetings and promotes teamwork among colleagues. Remains alert and responsive to operational needs and team dynamics. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Ability to perform repetitive machine operations involving twisting, bending, and lifting 20–40 pounds multiple times per minute. Ability to stand continuously for 8–10-hour shifts.
Physical Requirements Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry 25–80 pounds regularly. Ability to respond quickly to sounds and identify potential hazards. Ability to move safely over uneven terrain or within confined spaces. Ability to safely climb ladders while carrying up to 40 pounds. Capability to work in varying environmental conditions and extreme temperatures. Must be able to correctly wear and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE).
