What You'll Do

You will be part of the Global Supplier Management (GSM) Executive Operations team, supporting the VP of GSM and staff. GSM is a function in Cisco’s Supply Chain Operations responsible for $10B of direct component spend. You will own GSM’s internal and external communications strategy and execution. This will include executive communication, internal organizational-wide communication and engagement, and direct communication to our suppliers on behalf of Cisco and GSM. You will drive the creation of communication collateral to support internal and external communications to key partners and suppliers (i.e., supplier briefings, policy/process documentation, GSM branding and overview). You will lead the planning of GSM All-Hands meetings, as well as help the execution of GSM’s long-term organizational vision and goals. This role is also supporting employee engagement and interaction initiatives which are directly related to our workforce strategic work.

Key Responsibilities for this role include:

  • Supplier Communication strategy & execution of planned and ad-hoc communications through multiple communication mediums
  • Preparing materials for the VP of GSM to present the strategy, the roadmap and any pitch type style material required
  • Creation of Change Management strategy for large transformation of processes and tools
  • Support in communication of organizational transformation projects
  • Internal communications strategy and content development
  • Quarterly All-Hands planning and execution
  • Creation of communication collateral to support internal and external communications to key partners and suppliers
  • Partner very closely with teams to support and at times develop workforce engagement and interaction programs

Who You'll Work With

You will work closely with the GSM Executive Staff and Central Operations Team (they lead Transformation initiatives). You will collaborate cross functionally with all Supply Chain functions, and business partners including Legal, Finance, Operations and Engineering.

Who You Are

Required Skills are:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills – ability to develop a compelling story
  • Shown ability to lead change management and communication with internal and external partners
  • Comfortable engaging at all levels of the organization – quickly developing trust, communicating and driving active discussions
  • Reliable, and able to get results with limited direction
  • Strength in influencing to acquire the appropriate outcome if GSM communications, internal and external
  • Ability to see the big picture with limited information, and tie that into your communication with partners
  • Good understanding of Supply Chain Operations and interdependencies across functions
  • Experience in supplier management a plus
  • Strong skills for PowerPoint -- HTML and Design Applications required
  • Sharepoint expert level skill is a must
