Due to our continued growth, we are looking for an Assembly & Packaging Associate on our Production team with a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a genuine passion to be part of a team to join our growing small business.

Position Summary:

A gasket production employee will use DRS’s various machines and stations to build glass-door and walk-in style gaskets for customers in the refrigeration and food service space. This role will also prepare and package gaskets, parts, and various other items to fulfill customer orders and to refill our on-hand stock items. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work in a fast-paced environment building and packaging gaskets and door parts for customers.
  • Master each station in the gasket construction process to effectively and efficiently build and package door gaskets.
  • Master DRS packaging and shipping standards.
  • Develop an understanding of all DRS parts and products.
  • Be willing to be flexible for moving stations to meet production and customer needs.
  • Must be physically able to stand for long periods. Be able to kneel, bend, reach and lift/carry up to 50 lbs. 
  • Be able to work well with the small team of people you will be working with daily.
  • Be able to have good communication skills to interact with production teammates daily
  • Able to understand, speak, read, and write in English.
  • Be able to write/or type when completing paperwork for various production forms.
  • Have good organizational skills.
  • Be able to problem solve and adapt if a situation or problem arises.
  • Help keep the production area clean and organized to help the overall flow.
  • Be willing with other production-oriented projects that may arise.


Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

              Be able to work with your hands.   Must be a team player.

       Must pass a background check.

        Able to work effectively independently as well as with a team.

        Good communication and people skills.

        Able to understand, speak, read, and write in English.

       Strong attention to details.

        Work at a fast pace while producing quality results.

        Be able to read a tape measure.

        Good hand-eye coordination

         Basic understanding of fractions

Hours are Monday - Thursday, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm (8.5-hour days) and Fridays 7:00 am to 1:00 pm (6-hour day)

Experience:   Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing or distribution/warehouse experience

Education:   High School or equivalent required
