Position Overview
As a Metal Fabrication & Assembly Technician, you will support the production process through fabrication, assembly, material handling, and quality checks. Based on your experience, you will either develop foundational skills or operate with greater independence in equipment setup, layout, and production execution.
Key Responsibilities
Perform fabrication and assembly tasks in a production environment
Use hand tools, measuring devices, and shop equipment safely and effectively
Follow work instructions, prints, and production schedules
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Support material movement, staging, and inventory processes
Participate in daily production goals and team objectives
Set up and operate standard fabrication equipment (saws, brakes, punches, shears, etc.)
Perform layout, fit-up, and alignment of parts and components
Read and interpret basic drawings and specifications
Conduct routine quality checks to ensure accuracy and conformance
Identify and address minor production or equipment issues
Support and guide less experienced team members
Qualifications
Strong work ethic and reliability
Ability to follow instructions and work within a team environment
Commitment to safety and quality standards
Basic mechanical aptitude
Ability to lift and move materials weighing approximately 30–50 lbs on a regular basis
Valid driver’s license required
Preferred (but not required):
Experience in fabrication, assembly, or manufacturing
Ability to read a tape measure and basic prints
Experience operating shop equipment
