THIS IS A 3rd SHIFT ROLE MUST BE ABLE TO WORK - APPROX. 10:00 PM TO 9:30 AM (4 DAYS)

Lead a team at the Northford, CT site that applies its expertise and knowledge in finding innovative, cost-effective means to improve production control output and continuous improvements working with Operations, Engineering, and Sourcing. You will drive the strategic direction and initiatives that ensures product is coordinated, monitored, and completes the production cycle according to schedule. Key Responsibilities promote effective Health, Safety, and Environmental programs and practices. Promote vision, direction, and leadership for the development and implementation of process improvements and lean initiatives through the use HOS (Honeywell Operating System) Assist with development and delivery of the Annual Operating Plan and Metrics Improvement. Maintain cost effectiveness through aggressive productivity and asset management. Monitor and evaluate goals, driving for standardized effective solutions to existing problems. Drive knowledge sharing on the production floor at all levels. Assist with standardized work to ensure adherence to standard processes and procedures. Support and maintain the 5S system. Review metrics daily, participate in daily communication meetings, and respond as required to abnormalities. Promote a quick response to problems and support the escalation to drive a quality process. Provide production team with effective leadership, guidance, and communication. Communicate goal progress and roadblocks to Operations Manager. Work closely with production planning, manufacturing engineering and other support staff to assure all requirements are met. You will facilitate change, participate in project 0and people management, support cost improvement, oversee production schedules, adjust capacity requirements, review labor Management and forecasting of labor needs.

YOU MUST HAVE:

High School Diploma or GED

2+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment and/or military environment

WE VALUE:

Bachelor's Degree

Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles

Microsoft Excel with data analytics

Experience leading teams/managing direct reports

Significant experience in manufacturing or production environment

Degree of creativity and latitude

Able to make decisions using data provided

Working knowledge of basic computer skills
