- Ensure all tooling and equipment meet industry and governmental Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) standards.
- Apply Human Organizational Performance (HOP) principles to prioritize operator safety and usability in all designs.
- Collaborate with functional leaders to align tooling and processes with Bill of Process (BoP), Lean Manufacturing, Ergonomic Design, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives.
- Work closely with factory operations and Lean teams to understand value streams and ensure tooling designs support material flow, workstation layout, model mix, and productivity goals.
- Apply the 9-Step Process for tooling and equipment design, engaging Critical Process leaders to ensure robust, repeatable manufacturing processes.
- Develop Manufacturing Control Plans (MCPs) and Manufacturing Control Instructions (MCIs) in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Influence product designs by ensuring Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DFMA) principles are incorporated early.
- Contribute technical expertise and lessons learned to strengthen the metal stamping and AME knowledge base and drive continuous improvement across the organization.
